X Pro Templar X - lower decibel exhausts?
Maybe it’s just me but my Templar is crazy loud, and I’d like it to not be so loud. I’ve been trying to research different ways to reduce the volume but I’m not finding many good options.
Any suggestion? |

Throwing a Fische Moto spark arrestor in cuts down the bark a little. Still definitely sounds like an air cooled single but not quite as harsh.
Another option would be to take the muffler off, drill the rivets and repack with more or denser glass packing.

Just an FYI. I picked up one of these exhausts. https://www.amazon.com/JFG-RACING-Mo...07GYSLJMD&th=1
It did NOT fit my X. I made the muffler fit anyway. It went the wrong way and was louder. I wasted a couple more dollars on a baffle insert for it but it didn't help. Younger co-workers said they liked the loudness of the new muffler. Meh. A couple days ago I put the stock muffler back on. The baffle I bought won't fit in it. So I wasted some time and money accomplishing nothing. Still might try another baffle later, they're pretty cheap.
