Hello From South Cakalaki

Hello Everyone,

Love the site, lots of info. I don't have a china bike as of yet but am in the market for one, well two, a 200cc or bigger DIRT bike for me and an ATV for the wife. I currently own and ride a Honda CRF230 and you know from what I can see The 200cc offerings from various Chinese Companies don't look any different than the Honda. I especially like the bikes Marketed as Apollo. Anyway I'll be asking lots of redundant questions you all may have heard in the past, so thank you in advance.

Shawn

Welcome to the club. The 200cc CB's will be considerably heavier and less powerful than the CRF, but they are good for what they are, and a good value.

Having owned a Q, Zong, and a Lifanoid I'd say that for off road use the Q is the pick of the litter, has a real 2 year warantee, 1 year road side assistance, and is on sale currently.

Welcome!

If you currently ride a CRF230, have you considered just buying two ATV's? I speak from experience when I say that it's a lot more fun when you're riding a similar machine with a partner. I tried riding my bike while my wife was on her quad, but it wasn't the same. Two quads are much better for us.

That said, I'm not likely to give up my bike anytime soon.

Welcome! Many Chinese motorcycles represent an excellent value. However, the Honda CRF230 is certainly a great motorcycle. I am sure you will discover your Honda is much lighter than any Chinabike. Also, Honda replacement parts will be much easier to acquire.

I was looking at the Apollo web site and see that they have a 250cc dual sport….looking close at the pictures of it…its called an Apollo Orion 36-RX Xtreme; noticed it has a Zongshen stamping on the engine.

Shawn if you can get a price on one of these let us know what that MSRP is.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions, and yes you are right the my honda is indeed lighter, I checked out a few unknown brands of china bikes at a local dealer here, I didn't like what I saw. I do love the honda no doubt but for some unknown reason I just have to have that APOLLO

Best Discount ATV's has ONE left for 1480 They are in NC.

Can't seem to find another dealer reasonably close to me who carries them so I guess I will have to order one off line. I would much rather see what I'm buying first.

welcome to the site, the reason you cant find what your looking for, my guess and the reason i why i dont have them, the distributor went out of business. Apollo/orion in their infinite wisdom picked roketa to carry them, the apollo was a fair bike but i wouldnt get my hopes up when comparing to a crf. parts like plastics will be hard to get. but roketa may carry them but them being legal at least in the tougher states wont happen.

I'm really digging the one in the foreground. Those wheels set the bike off!
