Photographic Puzzle: Find the changes in the Zong!

I went for a ride today, and took a photo of my Zong in front of a favorite mountain.

Here is a photograph taken in the same spot, about 8 weeks ago.

There are 4 things different about my Zong in these two photographs. Two things are easy to notice, and two things are difficult to notice. If you enjoy visual puzzles, can you tell me the 4 changes to the Zong? Have fun!

Fork guard and skid plate for 2? I also want to say the signal lights look different but it looks like it may just be the picture? Did you modify the kickstand or is it just sitting on a rock?

Very good, Jim! You got three out of four! The first two were the easy ones: fork guards and skid plate. You also got one of the difficult ones, the new turn signals! The kickstand was not changed. Only the fourth, and perhaps toughest, change remains to be discovered.

Chain adjustment?

By the way, where are your side reflectors?

No, it's not the chain adjustment; I'm not trying to be that tricky.

I need to make some adapters to lower the front side reflectors. With the current mounting points, the front reflectors hit the Clarke fuel tank. I also need to get a nylock nut for the right, rear side reflector; the FMF silencer keeps blowing it away! 8O

Gotcha, I was wondering why it was only the right one on the back missing :P

I guess I will keep looking. The chain has been adjusted though hasn't it?

I'm taking that as a hint.

The FMF decal is considerably darker in the recent photo, indicating that it's time for a re-pack. Not sure if that's what you were referencing, but it's a definite difference.

Yes, the chain has been adjusted. You are doing so well, you might not give anyone else a chance!

Yes, the FMF decal is darker, but once again, I am not trying to be that tricky. On a side note, although the decal is definitely darker, I still don’t think it is time for a silencer repack. The decal is not blistered, or melted, and all other indicators tell me the packing material is still good. I did install a smaller main jet in the carburetor, and the Zong is now jetted perfectly for the FMF silencer. The leaner fuel/air mixture has undoubtedly heated the exhaust, and darkened the FMF decal. You guys are so good, it is almost scary! 8O However, the smaller main jet is not the fourth difference I was thinking about.

Is it a new speedometer cable, or is it just routed different to accommodate the fork guard? It looks a bit longer. It also looks like you routed the brake hose nicely.

Thank you, Jim. Your powers of observation are excellent. The speedometer cable is not new, but I did reroute both the speedometer cable, and the hydraulic brake line when I installed the new fork guards. However, the cable rerouting is not the fourth difference I intended.

I'm spending too much time looking at pictures I should be out riding or something... Or possibly sleeping, but this is what I get for accepting a challenge

Edit: Also it looks like the clutch cable has been re-routed?

Spud is #4 the filler piece between the clarke fuel tank and the side cover? It looks slightly different to me in the newer picture? It rounds up around the back of the tank a bit...?

My goodness, yes, I did reroute the clutch cable! I had forgotten about that change, myself! The clutch had been rubbing against the sound bell of my Fiamm horn, so I rerouted it behind the horn, closer to the frame! However, once again, this change was not the fourth one I intended you to find.
