white plug running lean

i just got my kpx 250 about 3 weeks ago i put 80 miles on it .Its running very lean the plug is white im running 91 gas an the plug that came with it.Any one out their have this problem.

These engines are tuned to run lean in order to meet EPA regulation. Why are you running 91 octane? These engines only require 87 octane. Ethanol free if possible.

Did your KPX come with an NGK plug and have you checked the gap? I was surprised mine came with an NGK plug and the gap was spot on. I've only used 87 octane, and mostly ethanol free gas, and the plug has looked good for 840 miles.
