110cc Coolster Leaking Crank Shaft Seal in Magneto Case

Well, I had a bright idea to see if I could reduce engine vibration by balancing a few components of the engine. I started with the magneto. When I put it back together and started it to let it warm up for 5-10 minutes on my work table, I noticed it was dripping oil from the magneto case.

I opened it back up, and determined that it was coming from the seal on the inner case half, not on the starting chain sprocket. How in the world is this thing leaking after removing the sprocket from it one time???

It was a 30x42x4.5 single lip, so I decided to get a better 30x42x5 double lip. Fit in very well, with not apparent clash for the extra 0.5mm width. I put it back together, and again saw oil dripping from the case after a 5-10 minute idle warm-up. What in the world could be going on?
