Project dual sport hellcat finally hits the dirt
I finally got a chance to ride the Hellcat on some dirt roads! I set out to create a little dual sport, street legal bike mainly to take with me on camping trips to explore back roads. I was impressed with how well the bike did on the dirt. The Maxxis dual sport tires are awesome! The forks are pretty stiff on this thing, I dont think I ever bottomed them out, but I wasnt doing anything hard core either. I definitely need to change the bars and bar mounts though. The clanging sound you hear towards the end is my front fender hitting the headlight housing, I have to lower it just a bit.

I love the finished product. Judging by the struggle up some of those hills and the downshifts, a larger rear and/or smaller front sprocket might be in order. Since it is mainly intended for off road use, top speed isn't as big of a concern.
