90 Mile Jaunt
It was a beautiful day here today. After dropping my kids off at my folks
house. They're going on a three day get away. Which means I had time to myself. Well I just happened to check my cell phone to see that blimpman had called and left a message asking to go riding. Well I couldn't argue with that. Say goodbye to the kids and back to the house to grab the bike. A little bit after noon I was at blimpman's house and we saddled up and with me in tow we were off. He lead the way through what we call the valley. It's a lot of scenic roads that twist and turn, up and downhill the whole way. Here's a couple of pics from our first stop. Luckily he brought his camera as I completely forgot mine. blimpman me We then rode north a bit and took a trip through some of the Cleveland Metropolitan Parks. There was a lot of people out enjoying the day. A couple of pics at the second stop. blimpman's Serow Another one of my ugly mug We headed to that gravel pit again. Didn't stay too long as I was actually getting tired. Those ammo cans I put on the back were causing the bike to act squirrely in the gravel and sand. blimpman rode up a pretty good size hill and we decided to hit it. On the way home we had a good size deer cross the road in front of us. I've always heard the stories, but never saw one this close while riding. We then made a short trip through the trails right down the road from my house. Then called it a day at that point. All in all a very nice and enjoyable ride. Thanks again blimpman!

Fun day for sure. There are a few places to ride off-road in NE Ohio but not very many... Good thing there are a lot of Metroparks and twisty roads in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. My arse thanked me to get off the bike after 90 miles...

Nice ride report, Makes me wish I had a ride partner...How did the new seat feel after a few miles?..Was it at least more comfy?

The seat did real well. After about fifty miles or so it was my a$$ that was
giving out. I really like the fabric over the vinyl. It does breath better.
