Greetings from Raleigh NC!

Greetings from Raleigh NC!

I'm a newbie to the China bike world...and to riding in the US.
Originally from Spain, I've been here for a few years and I've decided it's time to get back into riding!

At the moment I'm looking for something I can commute to work on (under 10 miles and quite urban) so I'm leaning towards a 150cc scooter to get familiarized with drivers' behavior before I jump onto something else. Any suggestions on what models could be recommendable? I'm fairly mechanically inclined so I'm not afraid of some wrenching.

Thank you!

There are NUMEROUS Chinese scooters in the 150cc range to choose from. You should join the forum 49ccscoot or something like that on proboards. Don't let the name fool you...all engine sized scooters are discussed.

Thank you, I checked their forum and they have some great info. I’ll definitely stay around here as I’ll start looking into dual sports bikes soon.

Thanks everyone!!

Greetings from the Sunshine State!

Welcome to the forum!

There are so many choices for an urban commuter. If you are dead set on a 150cc bike, I would look hard at a Lifan KP 150 mini. If you are flexible on engine size, that opens up your choices. There are all the Grom clones and mini monsters. If you want to go bigger, check out jerryhawk250. He has a new street bike. He has some videos on YouTube.

Keep us posted on what you decide on!

Enjoy the Ride!
