New Rider Eastern Pa
Hello Everyone!!! Sorry for the late pics. Here it is in the crate before getting all dressed up. Just recieved my 2019 Brozz. Figured nows a good time to chime in. I've been an avid reader for months now. Researching waiting to pull the trigger on this bike. Finally convinced the wife it's best for both of us. Ordered from Jeff at Peace Powersports. Overall completely satisfied. It was a very simple process. So was putting it together. Next up the DMV, let's hope this goes smooth. I'm itching to take this thing for a test ride around my yard. Should i be concerned about putting miles on before titling? Very new to all of this. I read on here some people say it's gotta match the mco. Also should i change oil, valve adjustments, the whole 9? I started it up just to make sure it ran, plus i was curious how quiet it really was. Thank you all for reading and have a wondrful night, day, morning, or afternoon. Last edited by Thebrozzanator; 08-28-2019 at 12:49 PM. Reason: Adding pic |

Welcome aboard! Congrats on the new bike. Valve adjustment should be one of the first things to do. Next you can run the bike through a few heat cycles with the oil that's in it to help seat the rings then drain and replace with a non synthetic oil rated for wet clutches. Not naming any particular brand because that starts a whole different discussion. If you read through the sticky "Hawk 250 Information and Resource Guide" at the top of the Dual Sport section it will guide you through what to look for and preparing your bike. Even though you don't have a hawk most will pertain to your bike as well.

Welcome aboard. There’s some really good resources on here and good people. You get to be the quality control guy the dealer never had so the more meticulous you get the better the machine. It turns into a hobby quickly. There’s a tone of off road or old mining trails up around Scranton some in the strangest places you would never think to look.

Welcome here Brozz….jerryhawk, has spoken well about oil, valves, etc. I even drained the brake fluid on the BMS, and some here have drained the fork oil. As Redhawk stated, you get to be the quality control, and yes it turns into hobby. Jeff has some good videos of assembly that might be helpful.
Congrats and have fun!!!

Lmao I assembled it in the back yard. I just pulled it in the house overnight. I need to set up my door for the fence out back with a lock. I don't really trust people living in a city. Other then that my mrs knows I'm crazy already. She has learned to buckle up and go for the ride. Thanks again for the kind and funny words.

I'm gonna be doing the valve adjustment tonight. Also changing the oil. I got some 10w40 wet clutch non synthetic Valvoline. Hope this is ok for the engine. Also the adjustments what are the exact. I think I've read something like .03 for the intake and .04-.05 for the exhaust. Then the ethanol in the gas. Could I curb the issues I have been reading about by changing out fuel line and keeping the tank topped off to prevent condensation build up etc. Thanks again for all the feedback and comments.

Welcome to here! Jeff from Peace Sports has mentioned in one of his videos (you should watch those, btw) that the oil it comes with is break-in oil. I would be cautious about that--not that I don't trust Jeff, but rather 'his' bike is a test bike and he works for Peace, so has the resources to deal with any engine issues. But, just to give him an extra boost of credibility, a member from Arizona just bought a Bashan Storm 250. Same engine, slightly different features than the Brozz, and sold via a different distributor in the US, but it is Bashan (not sure why Bashan sells individual dual-sports via different distributors?) manufactured. He bought it assembled from a dealer, and the dealer said to let it break-in for 500 miles with the break-in oil. So, it might be a Bashan thing that they have actually made use of proper break-in oil? I still don't see me doing the break-in with the salad oil, so not completely sold on the idea.
As far as brand--most here run Rotella-T 15w-40...seems to be cheap and effective.
