A new X-Pro model is coming to the US

I was talking with Wuyi Zuma Industry And Trade Co today, they(X-Pro) plan to bring a water cooled model to the USA(Loncin powered with EFI). I also confirmed that Trailmaster is Zuumav(if it wasn't obvious already).

I believe it's going to be the Zuumav S8 Pro, as for being street legal I don't know. It'll be powered by the Loncin KE300F which hasn't been seen in the US market yet.

The new model is available now. It's the X-Pro Paladin 300 EFI. The Loncin KE300F is a Kawasaki KLX300 clone.

Posted yesterday. Didn't know this was the one. NICE looking bike.

The Loncin engine looks great. Oversquare bore/stroke with a really high rpm capability. This is often used on the multicylinder road bikes. Not usually on one cylinder bikes since low rpm torque is typically compromised.

A competitor for the Lifan Xpect or KPX, and the Templar.

A competitor against the Xpect, with a 200cc air cooled motor? Laughable.
In fact it outclasses the KPX and Templar with its larger L/C motor. This is a whole new class of street-legal Chinese dualsports.

Sure, tell me another Chinese bike that it matches?
None.
The Templar and Lifan KPX are the closest.
This 300cc may not be for everyone, just because it has a bit more HP

None??? Sure there are. Templar models and KPX are air cooled 250s. These are a major step down from 300cc models like the Zuumav S8 Pro ... and the 197cc Xpect even farther away.

FYI-There are indeed a few 300cc competitors out there much closer in displacment and specifications. Trailmaster TM38 models (a variety of 300cc bikes) come to mind immediately, in naturally aspired or EFI models. The EGL A17 RS 300 HP, GPX FSE300R are also direct competitors, but rather more expensive. They are liquid cooled.

300cc is actually the sweet spot that I hoped they would cover, and now they are...or have been for a while with some offerings I knew very little about (thanks Thumper! ). I just hoped for an air-cooled engine...don't want to deal with water.

The liquid jacket and radiator shouldn't be any trouble. And it will help stabilize running temp on the trail and in hotter weather.

I saw the Zuumav logo on the linkage under the rear shock. Mumen is right...Paladin is a Wuyi Zuma product! Wuyi Zuma is the parent company of Zuumav.

So Templar does indeed have a big brother in the Zuma line. Fascinating that they chose to go with the Loncin 292cc engine. That oversquare piston is an interesting choice. I wonder how the low rpm torque feels. I'll bet it's a high revving engine. With 6 speed, that should translate to higher road speeds capability as well as a decent 1st gear for off road fun.

I have been thinking about taking the plunge into dualsports for a while and I have been doing my research. I stumbled upon the Paladin by accident on powersports max and now I feel conflicted. I am 6’4 240 and was all in on purchasing a Templar X as my first ever bike but now this Paladin is available. I am little concerned purchasing a bike with virtually no reviews or much info other than what a single distributor has on their website. Does anyone have any more insight or advice?

I will miss out on this first traunch. I did sell my Temp X in anticipation of buying the TM38, but this Palladin looks good to me. They may sell out within a week or two. I want to wait until after Jan to avoid 2024 property tax. It is just $100, but I can wait. Busy with other things at the moment anyway. Maybe there will be a new year's day sale at this same price. Maybe.

You think the prices are will go up after the initial release? At $2600 it’s a killer deal compared to any of the competition. A KPX is $1K more and less capable on paper. I still have a hard time believing the net weight is the same as the Templar though.
