Annual winter rant 17'/18'

Southern California's need not apply, sorry Culcune

I see where pistolclass will be enjoying -1 F by Monday in Connecticut

Tell us how cold and awful it is where you live that you can't ride those China rides.

10F with a -4F windchill in East Dundee. And it's snowing.

Looking at 3F on Monday for the annual Polar Bear Ride. Might be rethinking that one.

I am not in California, yet. Still in the AZ desert, but same warmish weather either way...

-29 degrees Celsius here right now, headed for -35 tonight... Lol, it's been like this for a week already. -20 C seems balmy these days

(Why the heck I live here, I have no idea!)

Unusually warm 52 degrees at home in Central Oregon right now at 2:45 am and 36 degrees now here in Arizona though it's going to be a nice sunny 74 here today. I'll be out exploring the desert on the quad.

When it starts getting very close to 50 degrees Celsius in the summer, you wonder the same thing!

I'm going outside to light a tire on fire so I can speed up this global warming that Al Gore promised.

Lol, true! I guess you can always dress up for the cold, but you can only dress down for the heat so much!

Not to mention, with the sun beating down with so much heat, you tend to want to not expose too much skin. But, to be honest, once you get used to the intense heat, and you have decent air conditioning at home, work, and your car, you really can do things like shopping, going out for dinner, etc. I remember living in Chicago just before up to my tenth birthday, and going through two blizzards in a row in '78, and '79 (we moved the summer of '79, so perhaps I am imagining two separate storms when in fact the snow came in droves in late '78 and stayed on the ground through early spring '79?).

For us -9f is considered balmy. When it gets to -30f (and it has every year but last) we will call it cold. Now we are still in the mid 40s? We call that riding weather around here.

I'm a little but of an alien here in CT, kinda like being behind enemy lines.

New England was once the birthplace of Liberty, some of us haven't forgotten how to think on our own.
