Looking Into Chinese Bikes(Bashan Storm 250)
Hey all,
I'm looking to get my motorcycle license in the next few weeks, and I'm looking into the Bashan Storm 250 as a first bike(would love a dual sport bike as I enjoy dirt riding). There's a dealer near me with a good price on them. I was wondering if anyone had experience with owning this bike, or if you could point me in the direction of a comparable bike. Thanks! |

Welcome ljmair,
I purchased a Bashan BSR Raven last year. Been riding since 1973 and mostly Japanese bikes. Rather impressed with the Raven and found the positive recommendations here to be accurate. Only thing I've done other than greasing every bearing and bushing and keeping the oil changed a few times is shimming the metering rod in the carb with one thin washer to mitigate cold natured start-ups. It worked a treat. The drive chain is not the best quality and I've had to tighten it 4 times in the 650 miles on the bike. Pretty hard to beat for the money. |
