Kayo 250 2 stroke

All.
Brand new here. Just bought a kt250 and want to upgrade the exhaust and reset. See it on YouTube but can’t figure out where or what to get. Any advise would be great. Thanks!

Curious of your thoughts on the Kayo as you put time on it. They seem like decent bikes. I wonder how similar the Kayo and GPX are?

Looks like a fun bike. What are you hoping to gain in aftermarket pipe? Is there something lacking in performance with the stock pipe? Maybe rejetting will help improve performance?

I have a KTM 250SX. I am adjusting the power valve to drop the onset of the powerband lower (at the expense of high end hp-which is FIFTY hp). I think I can forego some top end hp.

Do you have a power valve? Can you change the spring to open it up sooner? What is the top end hp ? Do you need that top end ?

If you are racing, then you want the top end. Enduro/single track riding will demand more power/torque at the low rpm range to be manageable. I am tuning my 2 stroke for earlier torque and power because I am interested in low speed situations in single track and trail riding.

I can buy a 300cc cylinder/piston kit for about $1000 to improve that low end even more.

Is your engine based on the Yamaha 230?
