At the End of the day.

Hey all,

So I am in the market for a cheaper dual sport and was wondering what everyones thoughts where on what the best Enduro is.. My list for me to chose from are as follows, and at the end of the day are they all pretty much the same? What really makes one lead the pack over the others?

Hawk DLX 2022
Brozz Recon 2022
Orion RXB250L Pre-order 2023
SSR xf250X 2022

Thanks for any help..

The ones you listed are more different than you might think.

The Hawk and Brozz are probably the closest to the same out of the bunch.

The XF250 uses a very different engine from the others all together and is a very loved bike by the people on this forum that own them.

The RXB250L is the most off-road oriented of the bunch so if you are after something more dirt bike than road bike this would be the one for you. It has the best suspension of them all and other chassis upgrades that just make it more capable/durable.

I would also suggest looking at the new Lifan KPX250. It uses a similar engine to the new RXB250L - true 249cc with EFI and a 6spd transmission. It would be the more road worthy dual sport if you compared it side by side with the RXB250L

I have to agree with megadan on the KPX 250. Awesome bike.

So if I go with the Orion EFI is it worth the extra fee todo the break-in the full teardown and grease and the $369 to have to suspension re-worked by Henner?

Not sure about the teardown and grease part of it. I do that stuff myself but Henner knows what they are doing with the suspensions and they can make the RXB suspension go from ok to amazing.

Also have a look at the Xpro Titan DLX; pretty much the same as the RXB 230L previous version with less suspension adjustability but cheaper..

Orion RBX is very similar in specs to the Templar X. It is a full sized enduro with the larger 250cc Zongshen, but it also has the 6 speed, break away levers, headlight flasher, better headlight assembly with an led daytime running band light. Turn signals have progressive lighting. Pretty cool. Excellent choice.

Interesting. My 2021 RXB did not come with the running light in the headlight assembly. Also, the LED headlight module in the RXB is not an "upgrade." It's dangerously weak, and the beam pattern has no spread so it pretty much just lights up a small square about 10' in front of the front tire. It may allow other road users to see you coming in the dark, but it definitely does not allow you to see much yourself.

I think most/all yum cha KTM style headlight/fairing assemblies should fit, however, and the Chinese ones you order from eBay or Amazon will probably have the same plugs on them. I plan to just supplement mine with some LED pods on either side.

I think it is still better than the headlight assembly on the Templar X
The led band might be more visible than the headlights!
