Will this 300cc engine fit a hawk/shark?
https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...166662986.html
It looks really similar. Anyone know how u can find out if it'll fit a shark 250 or hawk 250? And how the cooling would work.. there's a few more hoses that I can see. |

Water cooled pushrod motor..you will need a radiator and an expansion bottle if your bike is currently air cooled..should be a torquey motor though

Assuming the mounts are all the same, I'd think putting a small radiator on the bike wouldn't be too much more difficult than adding an oil cooler (running both might be difficult). You'll prob want to run a small fan too.
Personally, I'm not sure the extra displacement is worth the extra weight and complications of water cooling... but I'm a fan of simple air cooled machines.

If you look (in the listing) down below, there is a 'quick list' of the specs and it shows that it is for an ATV. So, I assume it has a reverse and 5 forward gears...I'm surprised they don't list the transmission specs. Had it been a straight 6-speed, it would be awesome. Also notice the Kilowatts' is only 11.5-which is the same as our 229cc's (15.4 HP)...it's the torque you gain with this engine. Would be awesome for use with a sidecar!
