skyteam-Raptor clutch problems
Gentlemen,
my clutch has gone all wonky in the last weeks and so i decided to fix this problem. first thing i did , i ordered some stronger springs but they were too big and didnt fit. So i decided to order a new clutch. After i learned that i need a special tool for dissassembling the clutch which i ordered as well, i took some measurements and ordered this clutch: http://www.ud-racing.de/Kupplung-fur...e-p-10143.html the clutch arrived and i noticed that i had to use the metal plate which holds the springs in place from the old clutch because the new one has a smaller hole for a smaller ball-bearing. Therefore i had to open the six screws to disassemble the whole thing and change it. The screws got a little bit damaged so i decided to get some stronger ones out of stainless steel (v2a) . Then i put everything together and put on the engine cover and after connecting the clutch-cable i noticed, that there is no connection between the clutch and the lever in the right engine-cover. i tore everything apart again and could not find out what i did wrong, the clutches have exactly the same size. I decided to call it a day before i start destroying things and relax and think about it. And now i think i know what i did wrong. The new Screws which i bought are 0,5 cm shorter than the original ones and the metal plate with the bearing in it is now sitting 0,5 cm deeper in the clutch and that must be the reason why there is no connection between the lever and the pin which pushes down the metal plate . I hope i am right, i will let you know tomorrow. i also hope, you will be able to understand what i wrote because sometimes i dont know the right words.. sorry... i michael |

the Bike is up and running again, the problem was caused by the shorter screws and one washer was in the wrong place. Its much much better now, like a new bike! i am Happy!
