new user, oddly enough with some ?'s

Good morning all,
New user here, been an owner of a chinese enduro for about a year and a half now, (although nine months of it was in Iraq and two at sea :( ).
Great to see such an informative forum and have learned a bunch reading through posts.
I have a fairly major problem though, and that is that I can't find anyone else who has the same bike I do.
My bike is a XS-Bobcat 200CC
built by a company called longting.
If you would like to see a picture theres one at http://www.myspace.com/steelrfn

Any info on this bike would be appreciated, especially regarding it's worthiness to be a street rider on highways and/or the legality of street licensing it at all.
I have the MCO on it but it states dirt bike under body type.
I would be titling it either in VA or NC.

Thanks.

nothing like finding my own answer :)

Just read through the clearly labeled thread about registering the bike and looks like NC is one of the easier states.
Now it's just a matter of finding some replacement parts and I will be up and running.

Welcome. I have suscessfully made my bike ugly.

Please don't take me as an expert. There are far more knowledgeable people here.

Thank you for your service.

Welcome aboard!

I tried to check out the picture but your profile is set private, so I couldn't see much in the thumbnail pic....but she looks good from what I could tell.

Keep reading and posting...I'm sure someone can help you sort it out. What else can you tell us about the bike? Does it have mirrors, signals, lights? Have you found exactly which bits NC will require?

Best of luck!

Here's another pic of the bike, hopefully everyone can see it this time.

Like I said, I got it for christmas the year before last, and have put about 400 miles on it so far.
The front frame around the headlight broke off, and the front fender fell off, and water got in the ignition, (all while deployed :( ), but other than that she's been a runner since day one.
The only other problem is that the fastest I have ever had it going was 65, and that was right on the edge of redline. :(

Wish I could help with a front fender, but the only one I have is for a sportbike.

Alot of the kawi/honda/yam/suzuki front fenders will work. May need to drill some holes.

Acerbis/UFO have aftermarket headlights.

Bruce 330-274-0098 can get you sprockets and probably everything else you need to get it up and running.
