new guy from Springfield,MA
Hi. My name is Angel. I am a police officer in my city. I have a motorcycle license and am trying to get some experience off road. I want to get on the enduro team for my department so I bought a bike to practice. I currently bought a 2011 Qlink XP200 for $700. Bike needs new brakes and I believe I have a lose wire as my rpm gauge is just jumping. I will be looking into that. I read a thread on here about purchasing through taobao. I placed my first order for some new plastics. Bike is currently orange and I bought a whole set in black, to include the gas tank. This is my first bike. I have taken it out on the road a few times already and enjoy it very much. can't wait to start riding off road. If there are any reccomendations on things I should look into doing on the bike, please feel free to let me know. As I said, this is my first bike so I am trying to learn as much as I can before I decide to upgrade. Thank you all in advance. Here is a picture of the bike.
Side note: I know it is not a KTM. The previous owner put a KTM sticker on it. This will no longer be on it once the new plastics arrive |

Greetings!
Welcome to the forum! I’m sure other people will chime in on performance mods you can do. The best advice I can give you is “Get Good Gear”! I was a Corpsman with the Marines and now I work in the OR. Protect your body!
Ok, I’m off my soapbox. Tools are always good to have. Inner tube patch kit comes in handy. Get tires for the kind of riding you plan on doing. Since you don’t know the history of the bike, change all the fluids, brake, forks and engine oil. Enjoy the Ride!

Welcome aboard, Nice looking bike . When you do change the oil just make sure it's designed for a wet clutch.

I don’t think there is any patch kit that stands out from the rest. Just having one is important. Since you are planning on having a patch kit, tire spoons and a hand air pump will be a necessity. Some people mount the air pump on the crossbar of their handlebars. It’s out of the way, yet easy to get to. If you don’t have one, a burrito tube is a must have. It can hold the spoons and other tools you might want to carry with you. A small assortment of wrenches and a screwdriver will help you out of a bad spot.
Check out eveRide Adv on YouTube. This guy does some serious adventure riding. He has a list of things he carries on his bike. Enjoy the Ride!

Welcome! That is a wonderful bike with Suzuki heritage. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
