do you know the history of why the wires were cut/spliced
and how much of the wire harness do you have to replace, there should be a plug from each item that the wirering harness ties into, like the start kill switch, the key, brake lever 2 wires from that head light/ tail light and should be color to match, just about anyway, if you determine those, make afew jumper wires with clips on ea. end , if you want to go that far, to do testing, get a light tester, and a voltage, ohms tester, you will need those and from whom did you buy from, ie: dealer, or private idiot ? i would do one wire at a time . this will take time dont get frustrated , i would go get a book on wiring repair manual from a dealer (one of the big brand name) on say a suzuki, or honda these seem to follow those makes, that might help alot post any pics as you go thru this maybe i can match up a plug or two from one of mine or someone else from here might be able to spot a wire plug and help as well good luck army dude DD

i got it from a private sale i am not sure of the real reason why everything is cut and spliced the guy had said that it was missing a control box i asked if he meant a cdi he said no he said it connected to the wires coming out of the tranny i did a vin decoder had a police friend run the vin came up with unknown make and model it did say it was a 2005 china origin factory t and 395 of theassembly line the check digit was invalid but i really cant find out much more it looks like a tao tao ata250 but i am not very up on the chinese models i have 8 connectors that are on the original harness and i have a brand new harness from kazuma for a 250cc what are your thoughts do you think i can make something work
2 cdi 1 rear lights 1 start solenoid 1 magnito 2 left handle bar 1 front brake the rest are loose |

wow what a mess
sorry ? i'm not sure on this but the thats the first i've heard of a cdi with only 2 wires, common is 5 pins, some 6 pins and few 4 pins but not 2 pin. yes you can make it work it will be awhile tho from the sounds of it. just be patient , and is there a rectifier is that what he said is missing?? make sure you log every tested wire ?

I think he means 2 connectors for the CDI and not 2 wires.
