Pranked my wife good

I was installing our new bathroom cabinet and was cussing because I had to cut one side with my circular saw so it would fit around the time floor trim. I had my fake thumb (I had been saving this prank for months) and some ketchup and I was ready to go. I was working for 20 minutes or so and had the cabinet pretty much installed. I grabbed the fake thumb with my left hand, put the ketchup on it and started my saw. I screamed and (gently) dropped the Makita saw in a drawer..

"OH GOD MY THUMB!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed and staggered out of the bathroom. My wife ran out of the office where she works and saw me holding what she thought was my thumb with blood all over it. She got a little woozy but straightened up and said "Apply......uhgh.......pressure.......ooooogh..... .....ack.......on it!" (She used to be a nurse)

I held up my right hand with my thumb hidden in my fingers. (Ketchup was added there too) She turned and ran out of the room gagging. I dropped to my knees laughing but acting like I was crying and she came back with a towel.

Our dog, raced in to see what was going on and saw me with a treat in my hand and started licking the ketchup off my right fist where my sweet wife thought I had a stump. I looked up and my wife, bless her heart was as green as a tree frog. She turned away holding out a bath towel, she dropped it and said "I oooooogh uhg going ughhhhhhhhhh call 911."

I stood up and let her off the hook laughing my head off, I showed her the fake thumb and my right thumb that was still attached.

She called me some 4 letter names, some body parts covered by underwear and punched my arm. I chuckle every time I think about it.

I will gladly sleep on the couch tonight for this one. She was madder about me spending $1.49 on ebay prank crap than getting pranked I think.

Agree with goat. A great prank but I can see my wife breaking the thumb not cut off. Would have been worth it, though, if the dog walked by with the fake thumb hanging from its mouth.

The dog licking the ketchup was my favourite part! Well played, sir.
