Two Hawks Unboxing

APSC USA lived up to their reputation and arranged the shipping of the two Hawks. They finally came! Here is an album of the photos, otherwise this post gets massive! I picked them up in my ancient but most favorite of tools, my little long bed pickup.

I certainly waved at all the lifted princesses passing me on the highway. Maybe she could only do just the speed limit but she always gets the job done and best of all...shes paid for!

Naturally I get them home and my girlfriend suddenly wants the Blue one! Always wants the other kid's toy, my Elizabeth does..

Between work and household duties I could not unload them until this weekend. With the help of my lovely lady and our neighbor we got them out of the truck bed and shoved into the garage.

Finally started to unpack them, starting with hers! Apologies in advance for my impression of a plumber

I'll post more as I keep going, lots to get done and try to fit it in along with a job and caring for a sick nursing student. Ta!

You work alot quicker than any plumber I've ever needed! Heck, the video could have been in slow motion and you would have been working quicker (but thanks for not going in slow motion=plumber's reference )

Enjoy the bikes, and keep us posted on how they work out for you two!

There are hidden arrows on the left and right of the photo that show up when you mouse-over them, if you click them you will move through the album.

Great pics and vid. I sill dig that blue Hawk.

I had the same truck, red and black Mazda B2000 long bed with a 5-speed manual transmission. Mine was a base without AC, power steering, or power anything. Just the alternator spinning along with the engine. I also had an all black heavily customized '89 B2200 standard cab short bed. I loved those trucks. I wish I had them both back. They carried me all over the US.

Guess you have to download pictures app or something.

Lets see if I can get this right this time!

One Red, One Blue!

Both in good shape, no evident dings or bangs on the boxes and everything looks good!

This is as far as I got. Is the beep only for when a turn signal is burned out? I haven't attached the rears to find out for certain, I just heard it while I was doing up the wiring on the signal stalks.

Yes SIR, if I had two Hawks in the back of my pickup I would have that grin on my face too. I still can't see the Blue one. I like that color too. As far as the ole truck, ya just CAN'T beat em. My favorite in my old 1984 Dodge D150, 225 C.I. leaning tower of power, bolted to a 4 speed manual trans. Lord only knows how many miles the old girl has on her. And she just keeps on going. Best yet I can fix it with a screw driver and a can of WD40. Taxes? 18 bucks insurance? DIRT CHEAP and she STILL does 19 mpg on the highway. Whats not to like. I pass them Jacked up 50 thousand dollar Princesses and SMILE ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK HA!!

Nice FERD Black BIke! I'm not that weak yet. Can't afford to pay cash for one, and I'm literally allergic to payments on anything. I will break out in HIVES! LOL

Awesome. That is the way to be. I too only buy stuff I can write a check for. If you make car payments to yourself there is no better feeling then walking into a car dealership and putting 100% down. Delayed gratification. Also, I only buy new if I can get 20% off sticker. Back in 2009 I bought a 25K jeep liberty for 15K when jeep had it's going out of business sale. They also had lifetime warranty at the time. Oh boy I hope their Actuaries and Accountants calculated a cheapskate like me into their warranty costs. I'm going to drive that think until it is dust.

I just got rid of my 1996 Mazda B4000. Bought that new, sticker 20,000 for 15,000 (leftover) Drove it for 19 years and picked up a new Dodge 2500 last year. 20 years is about all a car can make it here in CT with the road salt they use.

Keep up that no payment mentality and you will be all set for retirement.
