Is this a helmet lock on my KPR 200?

It works fine for removing the rear seat, but I have tried pulling, pushing, and sliding that bottom hook every possible way with the key turned and it seems like it is not meant to budge. But if that's true than why is it even there? What's it's purpose?

I am really hoping to soon feel like a complete idiot when one of you says, "It's real simple, just turn the key and..."

Do you own a KPR 200 and are able to use it? Is there some trick to getting it to open so you can actually use it as a helmet lock? Because if it's supposed to be easy then mine is defective.

Ok I figured it out! For anyone else that may run into this (unless all helmet locks work like this, idk because it's my first street bike), turning the key counter clockwise releases the seat. But for the helmet lock you must push the key into the lock (like when you first put the key into the keyhole, but keep pushing it in even though it's already in all the way), then turn it clockwise.

Like I said idk if that's obvious to everyone else but just in case, if anyone searches for KPR200 helmet lock at least this thread is here now.

That's first time i see a helmet lock work like that. Glad you figured it out. I'm sure it will help out KPR200 owners.
