1988 Suzuki SP125 using Chinese parts?
Hello,
I have owned several bikes in the past to include an Apollo 250cc, 2 chinese quads, a Honda XR80, and 79 Kawasaki 100E. I currently ride a 95 Yamaha XT 225 and a 1988 Suzuki SP 125. I am looking to upgrade the Suzuki's wiring loom with a Chinese loom with turn signals for street use. I want to upgrade from the 6volt stator to a 12 volt system. Does anyone have experience with this type of conversion? if you do, please lead me to the correct parts. Thank You! |

GN125 rec jammed in & works?! http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/mi...d.php?t=488322
I won't believe the above story anyway -1. Measure that stator's max amp & volt output. 2. Find the solution according to those data (worst case u need electronic background to build ur own) is much safer... btw. The spec of that era's DR125 is very similar to ur bike. E1: 6V E2...: 12V (the JDM version is 12V from day 1...)

I was looking into buying a GY6 wiring harness kit to include the stator and rectifier. The current loom had been chewed up by a dog but I painstakingly wired them back together. I am a novice mechanic but I have the drive to work, learn and experiment.
