Parts from Taobao...
Hello. I'm writing about my other post about my 07 hi-bird. I needed a new timing chain, and ordered from Taobao.com.
Good website, although the translations leave something to be desired. HOWEVER... It's now 10/31/15 and I still haven't gotten anything I ordered from 8/8/15. So, over two months and nothing. It's not much money, so I'm not out much and not worrying and I'm still hopeful, but as far as my experience, it hasn't been entirely positive. I DID get my timing chain from Scooterparts4less.com, and the timing chain tool from Amazon. Not as cheap as Taobao, but they delivered. I just wanted to pass this in case someone's looking for parts. It's just another place to find some things. Hope you're all having fun. Still love this website!! |

I try to always source parts that are already in the USA. I've had really bad experiences from ordering from China like months and it's still at chinese customs hold. Lucky for me I paid with PayPal and they just got my money back.

Good thinking..
Hello, and Yeah, I paid by paypal also.. Guess I'm going to have to contact them about it.
Too bad, because you can't beat the prices, but if you don't get the items it isn't a good deal after all. |

Rattle the cage of your agent! Maybe it's something simple, like they forgot to place the order.
I've had excellent service from Taobao Trends.

I have placed 6 orders with the TaobaoTrends agent. I have received very good service from them.
If you don't hear from your agent, contact them, and ask for an update on the progress of you order.

Thanks
Thanks for the advice! I'll have to look for my agent. Like I said, I like the site, I just need to figure how to make sure I get the stuff I ordered. Even not getting the stuff, staying hopeful I even placed another order..
Always optimistic, or trying to be.... And as a correction, it was on 8/22, not 8/8.. Still a while but maybe in customs? Thanks for the replies, by the way.. |

Which agent did you use?

X2.
A reputable agent will reply to your emails. A good agent will also send you photographs of the items before he ships them. If any of the items are wrong, he will give you a refund. Perhaps you need a new agent.

Hi weld and spud... Thanks for the continual help.
Well figured out my problem, and it's all me. I didn't go through taobaotrends... I was trying to order directly. I'm registered now with them, so I expect it to go smoother, but not sure i'll ever see my first orders.. Working on contacting the sellers to let them know I never received anything, but I'm definitely going to work with an agent from now on. I appreciate the correction. And in the post when you say to list mainland China, do you mean for MY address when I register? I haven't ordered yet but i'm about to. Luckily I won't go bankrupt if I never see the parts I ordered but I wish I had gone through the agent. Lesson learned. No hard feelings and glad you guys are doing this.

Contact PayPal. Tell them you ordered items directly from Taobao, and never received your stuff.

Hi Spud. Yeah, I was referring to that post. You put:
Yes, that is fix. You must set the default country code to 'Mainland China.' Good for you. __________________ Spud Anyway, I'm sure i'll work it out. Can't thank you enough, and hope I'm not bothering you with the questions/posts..

Setting the default country code to Mainland China makes sense, since your agent is ordering goods on your behalf, and subsequently shipping them to you.
