EFI 250 CDI or Fuel Controllers??

I have the Lifan Xpect EFI (hawk dlx is a similar set up) and wanted to know if there are any performance fuel options? Maybe a CDI or Power Commander for these small bikes??

In theory it is possible as Power Commander does make systems for bikes with Delphi EFI computers. You would need to know what model of ECU you have in order to potentially find one that would plug in. Then you have to overcome any potential software issues (number of cylinders, etc)

If you are really interested in trying to use one then the best option would be to actually contact Dynojet/PowerCommander with the ECU model and provide them what other information they might need in order to see if they have something that could be made to work.

All of that being said, cost wise it would almost be easier to buy and adapt a microsquirt or Ecotrons ECU to the existing harness. It may require cutting/replacing or splicing in the right connector for said ECUs, and then working out a few potential adjustments for signals (if any) to get it to run.

The downside to this is that you will be starting from scratch with the tune. The upside is that you would have complete control over every aspect of said tune.

Maybe reach out to these guys and show some interest, they make them for some other chinese built cfmoto utv's that run delphi ECU's.

So... other than sprockets, there is nothing that can wake up the top end on these bikes?? not a huge issue but another 5 mph would really make a world of difference to me.. perhaps a diet would help lol

They were just released. Give them some time and something will probably come up.

Not to mention that the main 3 mods done to a Hawk are intake, exhaust, and sprockets. The first two definitely give it more poke, especially a free flowing exhaust. The latter, to a point will help with top speed at the expense of acceleration - depending on how tall you go - by giving you more rpm to work with in 5th gear and placing the motor in the sweet spot of the power curves.

Yes, obviously for us carb guys we have to jet the carb accordingly. As far as the delphi system goes, as far as I know it does a decent job of adjusting itself to the changes.

I wouldn't count on the aftermarket to step up and offer something specific to this bike anytime soon, if ever. Hence my initial suggestions.

Look at the RX3 forum - sameish basic Delphi EFI and loads of China bikes and the AJP PR5 use a version of these.
There is a controller for the AJP PR5 which uses the MT05.02 ECU, RX3 uses MT05 ECU and China bikes might be either etc.
Beyond 6000RPM it runs off the map not self tuning/adjusting best I know. Lower RPM it will self adj etc.
