OMGosh! Breaking news about oil...
Just saw this news on another site. Just thought I would share this. https://blog.rekluse.com/introducing...formulated-oil
Rotella has been recommended here and other places for years. But if you go down to "Setting the record straight" in the article, you will learn something about reformulation of diesel oils. Sorry about opening this can of worms!

I'd take that with a grain of salt. Rekluse sells clutches, I doubt that they have a huge R&D department for oil development. Diesel oil has been reformulated for like 6-7 years if I'm remembering correctly, and I haven't seen a huge uptick in clutch replacements on any forums.
If anything, just buy some oil from a Japanese bike dealer if you're worried. They're wanting $19/quart for something that is, I'm guessing, something that they're relabeling from a distributor. Heck, even Harley synthetic is usually cheaper than this. |
