I'd like to hear more on this topic as well..
A replacement knobby/50-50 tire that is perhaps taller and possibly wider on the front would have the added benefit of bringing the speedo closer to being accurate I know on one of my past bikes, a Honda Fury, one of the popular mods was to swap the stock 200mm rear tire for a 240mm for looks and it would squeeze onto the stock rim. I'd imagine the same thing possible with our rims.

I heard the 50/50 knobby tyres don't last as long and aren't as good for street use. The recon comes with those and the brozz 250 comes with 50/50 street tires

I'd probably agree with that, although i must say that these knobby tires have performed well on road and very good on the dirt/gravel as well. I'm sure the 50/50 would probably me more comfortable on the road and im leaning towards that type when these evenually wear out.
I'm sitting around 800miles now and they appear to be at 60% tread left, so assuming all else stays the same, im guessing 2000 miles and they will need to be replaced. If you are looking for the same stock tires in either 50/50 or knobby, the shopbrozz.com site has them them at low cost
