returning parts to zongshen
hy everone i recently ordered some parts from zongshen. my bike started stumbling and eventually would not stay running . after inspecting with a meter i found that the voltage was fluctuating badly down to .1 v coming from stator so i assumed the stator was bad. afterseveral phone calls and emails i ordered a stator and cdi from manny at zongshen.
well after i new the parts were on there way i started to remove the stator from the bike and found a pinched wire. i spliced the wire and now bike runs good as ever. so now im faced with adecision to keep my $86.00 in parts or return at least the stator to get back the majority of my money. so here is my question have any of you ever returned parts to zongshen before. is it possible. i may very well keep them but i thought this may be a good question just to see what kind of experiences you guys or girls have had. well thanks shawn

I think I would just keep them.

Electrical parts are not usually returnable.

You could also resell them. I've been reading here how CDIs are always being replaced. There's the for sale section in the forum. But I'd say not to return it to Manny to keep in his favor. In fact, send him a message to say that was exactly what you needed and he's the man.

I agree with everyone else; I would keep the parts. You will have them if you need them in the future, or you can sell them to someone else. After all, Manny didn't send you the wrong parts; he just sent you what you asked for. You also got a great price. Check and see how much those parts would cost if you got them from Yamaha.
