New seat or seat cover
I was wonderin if anybody knew where there was a different seat that we could get or maybe a different seat cover we could put on. I want something with all black because it'll probably go with anything. I am really considering painting my motorcycle, but I want to paint it totally different than any colors that are already out there. I havent decided yet, but I cant do anything unless I change the color of my seat, which seems to be the hard part. I was at Wal-Mart tonight checking out all of the Krylon Fusion colors, and ideas just started streaming, but I got to be able to change out the seat.

Take a look at corbin. I'm not sure if they can change the color, but they should be able to make it more comfortable.

Shea,
They make Krylon for plastics in Pink and Purple, I'm sure nobody has one with that paint scheme... They make all kinds of slip-on seat covers, look around at some of the on-line bike stores....

be the first to recover our seat. you need some Naugahyde material and a staple gun... REAL tough... basically you staple a side on and stretch it over and staple it down as you go, pulling it fairly tight so it looks seamless as you get over it. Make take 2-3 tries, but it will be fun seeing pics of it and all of us being impressed with whomever did it first
i would have done it, but i like my red "mohawk" of color down the top of my bike. So i've decided against changing it.

Seems like I read here awhile back that akonababe's dad added padding to his seat then re covered it. I'm getting old its' hard to tell any more.
But if I'm not imagining things he made it look real easy and it looked great. |

Wasn't me, but I do recall someone had recovered their seat and made is softer. I think it was back in dec or jan.

New Foam
I had my seat fixed real well. IMEASY's father knows how to do this and he added a nice foam section to my stock seat. Feels great. He just took off the cover , added the foam, trimmed it a little and put the original cover back on.
Good for a couple hundred miles at a time now I am sure.

With all the Yellow I have on my jacket and helmet, I am starting to be known as the yellow power ranger. So I wouldn't mind riding with the pink power ranger. MDSauve helped me gain perspective and I am comforable enough with my manhood that I would ride with you
