Well all my bikes have been parked for a few weeks. Either it's raining or just too freaking cold to ride. I pulled out all the bikes Saturday morning so i could do a comparison video. Well about 15 minutes after pulling the bikes out the rain started. It's nice and sunny today but way too cold early this morning for me to ride to work. Should warm up enough by Thursday to ride but then the rain starts up again on Friday. I hate this time of year. Here's a shot of a side by side comparison.

I usually dont ride when it's less than 40 degrees. It feels even colder when crossing a bayou or canal.

Yeah, you have the same issues we have here. It's not so much the cold temps. It's the high humidity we have along the coast. There's water every which way you turn. It's nice outside right now and would love to be riding. I leave for work in the dark and return home in the dark at the coldest part of the day.

I resemble that comment! Several miles of my daily commute were through the so-called 'counties' where there is a lot of agricultural, and sprayed water (as opposed to the desert). Those 30s, 40s, 50s, and sometimes low 60s early mornings were exponentially colder during the ag season. I will say that my TGB scooter was a lot better than my TMEC dual-sports as far as cutting through the wind. Excalibur has windshields for the TGB, but I couldn't figure out if my top speed would be affected negatively with the screen as I needed every mph at an indicated 60-65 (who knows how far off my actual speed was?) as my fellow commuters would ride my #$% like a cowboy on a horse.

I know the feeling! It is funny because once spring hits and the temps hit the 90s and 100s, and then rolls into summer and every f%&#ing day, it's like 110, you forget it can get cold--not midwest cold, but 30s and 40s in the early to mid-mornings. When the temps drop (started already) you forget how hot this forsaken place is for several months straight. My car read 36 the other morning at work.

Hi Jerry,

I like the new bike. It looks great, especially with the saddlebags AND the windshield. Unlike you, I'll be 70 come this December 9th and I too need all the protection I can get from the cold weather (especially up here in PA)...

I still haven't ordered the Venom X22R as of yet, as I'm STILL WAITING on the next stimulus check to come out (that's IF they do come out with one).

Hopefully those aholes in DC will wake up to the fact that us NORMAL people are hurting and need help desperately. After all, us NORMAL FOLKS don't have those "SPECIAL" perks those idiots get when they get elected into office. It's too bad we don't.

Anyway, I wanted to ask you something. That SpeedoDRD H1, would that also work on the Venom X22R or would I have to get something else to fix the problem with the speedometer???

Take care of yourself Jerry. Now that both of us have reached the milestone of 60+, we have to watch out for ourselves. There's just too many young idiots out here to be aware of, who either don't care or are just TOO stupid to begin with...

Take care...

Joe...

On former bikes when riding in 40 and below weather i would take comfort in positioning my hands near the engine for a quick warm up but find that on the Brozz even with the supposed crazy high engine temps, i dont feel any warmth :(

Well I rejet my ghost today with the 105 and adjusted air mixture a quarter of a turn richer and it ran fine for a minute or two before dying and refusing to start again. I'll have to see what's up with it on my next off days. Suspecting it may be flooded.
