You guys have been the most knowledgeable I have found on the Internet about the Hellcat so I am going to ask y’all my question.
Just inboxed mine new and getting it assembled. Everything went together except the front wheel. Getting it on as we feel like it should go it doesn’t spin free. It is very tight. This is my first bike but all my dirt bikes spin free so I’m confused. Just wondering if I have everything together right or what the problem may be. Any help would be awesome! |

Make sure everything is greased well ,the most common problem is the speed sensor has to go in, in a particular way but it is really easy to put it in wrong ,and that will cause the drag or bind. ,that's where I would check first if it appears the wheel itself is what is tight. If it appears it might be the brake dragging, the front caliper "floats" on pins and it is also not unheard of for the pins to not be greased, or for the caliper to have "stuck " and not float thanks to the salt air while they are transported from China on the big container ships . There is also a spacer in the front wheel assembly that has a conical face and a flat face, and it does matter which way it faces , so check that as well.
Venom motorsports has a YouTube channel, and in those Videos is one about the speed sensor and also the spacer , I suggest watching that Video and then re-assemble it ,the Hellcat front end is exactly the same ,you are right in that it should spin freely .

Thanks so much for speedy reply. I will start completely over after watching that video. Also, would you suggest changing oil before first operation? And also what is best to run in them? So glad you guys offer to help us newbies!

Gman = PLEASE change the oil BEFORE you ever start it ! Mine was shipped only half full of something that couldnt really be called oil. You need a good synthetic 10-30 or 15-30 oil, i live in FLA and its super hot so i run 15-40. Make sure the oil is okay for use with wet clutches.,it should say on it .WalMart and AutoZone both carry motorcycle oils that will work if you dont have an actual motorcycle shop near you.
It takes about an exact quart to fill it ,so get one to put in it now, and one to change the oil at about 300 miles. I changed mine after the initial pre - run fill at 100 but I'm just that way , you should be good if you change it again at 300.

One more question guys. When I go to put the speedometer on there is a rubber piece already there on the bike. After watching Venom Motorsports video he isn’t showing that. Is that there for protection in shipping and I need to remove to attach the speedometer?

I think he is having trouble identifying the crankcase vent hose ( where it is /comes from ) on the engine. If anyone could post a pic of that it would help him a lot. On my Gen2 it is buried and I can't get a clear pic of it ,hoping one of the original version clone owners have better access to show it .

If you remove air box then you put the uni filter on the end of the hose that was connected to the air box. Would take a pic for you but i'm not around my bike. |

I can't help on that speedo issue , mine was already mounted when i got my Vader, all i had to do was mount the handlebars with the top clamps . I had no idea any of em came with it not mounted but it might be because they found about that issue where some
would not change from km to mph and so they didnt install the bad ones like usual and then when the good ones came in they just threw it in the box .,w/o installing it.
