.8 miles. Welp! Time for an oil change! lol

How about testing the tires out in the mud? Perfect day for it. Ha ha ha. Thank

Decided to make the uncharacteristically mature choice and hold off for now. I want to dump about $1500+ into the house over the next few months. Storm door, tub surround for showering, rainwater catchment barrel, small solar generator to go with my small gas generator for power outages. Tent camping wood stove, as a heat source in case of winter power outages. The X-pect is good enough for now. Maybe fall or next year for the KPX.

Or I might say "F it" in ten minutes and just go ahead and order it.

That first picture is exactly the reason you bought that big ugly windshield! Toss it on the KPX and ride that sucker to work!!

Reserve?

But look how close to the frame that rear cap is.

Do you see those TWO nipples on the petcock? Those are fed by each side of the gas tank. There are three positions: "dot", "R", and "R". Dot is closed, and...I haven't tested this theory, but I think this means either side of the tank can serve as a reserve.
Yup. it is a reserve. I was out on the trails and felt the wilting power and knew it was about to die. Found a place to stop just as it dies, switched to the other "R", and it started right up! Xpro has these bikes in stock for under $2100!

How does this work on an EFI bike? Is there a reserve on the Lifan KPX?

No reserve. I don't wait till I'm out of fuel to go to the gas station. The flashing red light on the fuel gauge is telling me, Hey stupid! Stop and get gas!

I remember in my poor college days running out of gas while driving cross country. I had picked up a couple of hitchhikers, and got a little gas money from them. As I was approaching a gas station, engine out of fuel, the car had exactly enough forward momentum to coast to the pump.....

I have a good little story about gas and running out.

For a little while just before college, I worked as a waiter in a restaurant. One of the other guys that worked there rode a scooter in to work. Probably more on the moped side of things actually. Lol

He ran out of money (and gas) one evening and had to work the next day. So what he did is he pushed the scooter to the gas station, and just shook out the nozzles of each pump in the gas station. That was enough to get him to work. Ha ha
