I found that quite disturbing. I don't know any "fun men" and I don't think I want to, or want to have one.

"have a fun man"

Could an AI come up with that? I don't know. It sounds like it could have, but maybe I don't understand AI. Maybe it wouldn't have unusual diction. Could I recognise it? Would I really know?

Some clarification would be nice. Maybe the OP is an AI bot! Yeah I have read all of the back story and it is all plausible.

I don't like the idea of having a conversation with a bot. And this website is about human to human interactions. This member has posted more than one AI text output (admitted/announced). I want it to end, stop. No kidding.

I think it should be chinariders.net policy that NO AI text is allowed. PERIOD.

Shall we vote? Shall we ask for clarification from our website manager(s)?
How do you feel about it? When I suspect it is a troll or bot, I just try to ignore it, but there is NO STATED policy regarding AI posts.

Have there been AI bot members already? I have had my suspicions. Corporate promo schills seem to have been transiently posting. That is not OK with me either. What do you think? Do you like the idea that you may end up POSTING ANSWERS TO AN AI BOT, perhaps? I feel like we should ALL be aware of this possibility and reject it outright.

Sorry I don't want to hijack your thread Dano. I just think we need to me wary and alert to hackers, trolls, and AI.

I have a theory.

The Zapkin bot was inserted on this site to learn about humans so that it could report back the best methods of taking over humanity. It has fooled us so far, but then it slipped up by using odd phraseology. It is now outed. So maybe humanity is now saved!

But on the other hand we might also be dealing with an even deeper deep-cover JerryHawk250 bot.....

Pretty sure it was just a typo.

Will be picking up the chain tomorrow for sure, and hopefully the gloves, tach and rear 47t sprocket. Helmet should be here Tuesday and jacket on Friday. Jacket and gloves by "Jackets 4 Bikes".

That's an excellent looking jacket.
I got a flat black helmet too, but it's an MX type full face. It has dual visors, The inner one is a dark visor, and the outer one is clear, seals the face. They work independently so you can use neither, one or both.

I agree, probably just a typo. Zapkin is a human being. Maybe we can get a policy set on if/how AI can be posted, if at all. Some AI generated prose/text is indistingishable from human generated text. Typos probably reveal human source in most cases!

Nice one, gramps, but that's just a little before my time. I was going for more of a Fonz vibe:

You are the only one posting text from AI. Just askin'

Is this a human post? Maybe just a typo or a fun is common terminology where you come from.
No that was me being a little stoned. I make stupid typos. The only time you have to worry if something I typed is AI is if it totally ridiculous (the lifan/ktm thing), a stupid poem, or something that seems way too perfect. If there are typos. its Rob. LOL. I will try to keep it cool, I know I am a bit much. sry guys.

Gramps?!?!?!?!

Why you young snapperwhipper, do I have to trot out the stories about how we had to hike barefoot five miles in the snow to get to school, uphill both ways? Sometimes chased by wolves. We made friends with a guy on the next farm nicknamed Limpy.

Our family only had one pair of shoes for the lot of us. We took turns wearing them to church, but the one with shoes had to carry Ma. This was hard on little Timmy for a few years.

I spent three years in third grade because our one-room schoolhouse couldn't afford the fourth grade texts. But I finally graduated from eighth grade before the age of 23, which was considered remarkable.

Okay, rant over. Speaking of Henry Winkler, he was in a movie with Stallone called The Lords of Flatbush. I'm sure he got the Fonz gig based on being seen in that movie, in a similar role and outfit. Both came out in 1974. Flatbush is a section of Brooklyn, and the Lords were a motorcycle gang/social club.
