I think I may.
BTW I replaced the plastics on the YZ with brand new Polysport items. :P One of our fellow Chinariders turned us on to the deal on Motorcycle Superstore.com. New side panels and front and rear fenders all for $20 plus $5 shipping! 8) I'd have purchaced radiator shrouds but the ones they have may not fit. $10/pair though... I'll post pics when I get a chance.

The old plastics were fine but I did not like the gaudy graphics. I'm not one for advertising many different brands on my bike like a billboard.
The graphics were very thick high quality and seriously bonded to the plastic. I knew I'd never get them, and the glue off. :? Roger and I have a friend Julian with TWO YZ400F's and one of them has some ratty plastic. I'll give him my originals which will be a nice improvement for his bike.

Awesome deal! Maybe I should go plastic shopping.

Wow looks awesome!.
I have black plastics on my 450 and they are scratched up pretty bad. But I absolutely HATE red on the hondas. On a side note, after doing the headgasket, I drained out about a liter and a half of coolant from my engine oil side (had no oil in it to start with). Sooo woo hoo the water pump seals are gone! Oh and I wonder if it would be safe to buy a helmet from Motorcycle superstore. I want a better quality one, but I'm unsure of the sizing without being able to try it on. |

Plastic looks great.
That murray looks pretty good. That is about the going price on one in that condition around here. Test the transmission in every gear and make sure it pulls on a hill. Bags to me are for collecting leaves. I don't use one. Also make the belts look to be in good shape. Otherwise if it cranks normally it is probably a buy. The model briggs engine is a good one. Parts are easily found too.

Or can I not see the rads from that angle? |

Oh she's liquid cooled all right. Radiators are under the shrouds. 8)
I'm replacing the shrouds too, mostly to get rid of the graphics and get shiny new plastic instead. This Polysport deal at Motorcycle Superstore is too good to pass up! $10! :P When I'm done the bike will be shiny blue new, with only simple white YAMAHA decals on the shrouds. I won't be advertising companies I have no stake in for free! Imitating racers brings me no joy. I like clean. Towards that end I bought a special can of paint to repaint the frame, but that may have to wait until after my move. Packing sucks. I'll get that mower I think. Turns out I also need a vacuum cleaner! My current house has a central vac. I hate spending motorcycle money on domestic nonsense. :?

Yeah I know lol!
Its just from the front shot you can't see them at all. And on the LS of the bike no rad hoses coming down and around to the WP.Slow moment I guess? These 400/426/450 's run stupidly hot. |

Mine seems to keep it's cool, even in the sand. New water pump, seals and flushed the radiators and fresh coolant.
The guys at Thumper Talk swear by some special coolant, I forgot the name...

Engine Ice.
If I idle for ~2 mins, my 450 chokes up some coolant out the overflow. At first I thought it was an issue, but apparently ALL the crf's are like that. |

That's the stuff. Supposed to make a big difference using some sort of magic. Heat transfer thermodynamics? Higher boiling point? Sure is expensive. I'm running regular aluminum safe no silicate automotive type Prestone and it seems fine.
