I took that picture from inside of the house at 8 feet away. I did some shoveling for about 15 minutes tonight, never do it with just sweat pants on your bottom half because God will replace fireman pete and his two nutty friends with something from an infant when it is -11.

That is my pro tip for the day.

Bruce, I love that setup! I haven't seen a truck-mounted blade that fits in a receiver, although I haven't studied them up close much. Was this blade linkage originally designed for a front receiver, or did you modify it that way?

It's something I cobbled up .I bought the snow bear plow for $150.00 ,it was in good shape ,but the previous owner cut off the mounting tabs ,and welded on the 3 1/2" tube for some unknown reason .So ,I bought a 5 ton Pintle hitch receiver adapter from princess auto ,bolted it to some thick 3" angle I had ,then glued it to the plow frame .The new snow bear and other plows are designed this way so I gave it a try .I wouldn't do it with a heavy plow unless I used two of them ,but for my set up it's just fine .
I am having some issues with this unit though .I have size 13 feet ,and wear insulated rubber boots when out plowing ,so the boots are probably closer to a size 15 .There just isn't enough room for my left foot to completely get off of the clutch pedal while plowing ,driving down the road I dont use the clutch ,but I use it in close quarters in people's yards .Therefore ,I listed the jeep for sale last night ,and will pick up another one with an auto tranny .The added bonus ,is it will be better for my kids to drive as my daughter is brutal on a clutch .

We went to the Kroger out here in Carrollton both last night and this morning (make sure you remember to take your list to avoid having to make two trips...) and it was absolutely crazy! No milk to be found, bread aisle completely ransacked, and the eggs were a mess. Just a little common sense would really go a long way. Snow has never been on the ground here longer than 10 hours and that's since the last Ice Age... What are you people thinking?!?! I was talking to a trash guy a few weeks ago, and he said that about 10 days or so after a big weather scare, he'll start seeing full jugs of spoiled milk, and half-loaves of bread in the trash. Such a waste. I hope everyone keeps themselves and the family safe and warm during the coming crazy weather apocalypse.

My heat went out.

Coldest winder in 50 years here so far. We have had 5 times out usual 6 annual inches of snow and all next week looks like poo.

Temps down to zero most days the past week.

Heres the beauty part...

MY HEAT WENT OUT!! 3 year old house. Rats!

The blower motor died. The compartment heated up and cooked a wiring harness and the computer board. I replaced the motor ($1,100 for just the part, wholesale, with me putting it in!?) and the furnace dude replaced the electrics.

I could have bought a nice Chinabike with what this somebeech cost me and would have had some fun.

Space heaters and temps in the mid 50's in my home since New Years.

When I get home from work, God willing, will be working.
