Amazing stuff, huh? ('Eh' for our northern neighbors  )

Feel free to look around many of the pages in that thread for countless other trips and pictures, some posted by me. On that forum I'm Mountain Doctor.

I snapped this shot in Southern Alberta last week, and it was too good to not exploit.

Ahh, Southern Alberta. Need to go back there, too.

A Kinetic moped with a train horn; the device in front of the seat is a compressor.

Wise to have the horn pointed rearwards...

A rider won't be overtaking anyone on that moped.

A couple of pics from yesterday's ride. Fall and winter are the best times for my local trails. We had rain for the first time in 5 months and the trails were very nice.

The Gold Wing. "You're so big? What have you been eating?"

My office is close to the Columbia River. I walked there on my lunch break to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Thanks Weld.

Just a cell phone pic, literally around the corner from my house. Nothing special, but I'm lucky to have areas to ride.

Seeing Doc's wonderful pic of his bike got me to thinking of a shot I took a few years ago. I had an Indian built copy of a Raleigh DL1, the ubiquitous British Bobby bicycle. This bike easily tipped the scale at 75 pounds, and even with a three speed hub, she was a bear. That is, until you got off the paved roads and onto the road surfaces that the bikes loooonng wheelbase and slack angles were designed for. Then she was an absolute dream to ride.

This is in an area just a few miles from my place near the Fox River and the Fox River Bicycle Trail. It is an abandoned CN&W service road that ran along the rail line and is now used by guys like me and the occasional park district vehicle. Most people in the area don't even know it exists.

I no longer have the bike, it was sold along with a few others to finance the CX, but I still wander out to this area a few time a year just for sanity rejuvenation.

Cool bike. It has a heritage somewhat like a Royal Enfield. 8)

The original mountain bike, before the Marin!

LOL!

Why not? It has a bigger motor than a Tercel I once had.
