That's good news to hear. Especially since its a fraction of the cost.

Scored this little Trek Mountain Lion for my granddaughter to putz around on while she's visiting this summer. Twenty bucks.

Also got this nifty Niehoff T-64 timing light for a buck and a half.

I had hoped the timing light would make friends with the DeSoto but no. Dimmer than I one I already have. But the bike, wow! I felt I should have been wearing a mask when I paid for it. And I don't have to do a thing to it.

Have you tried hooking the timing light to 12 volts instead of six ?

I would if I had any room to do it but you just gave me a think. Solder an SAE plug to the timing light and plug it into either of the bikes trickle charger plugs. Thanks Bruce.
I do have a NIB 1950s 6v timing light that hooks in series with the number one spark plug but modern molded spark plug boots make it nearly impossible to use. I recently picked up a spark tester, though, that might make the timing light usable.

Well I need to buy myself another truck today ,someone liked mine way more than me and snatched it out of my driveway while I was counting sheep .I don’t care about the truck at all ,it’s the $4000.00 lawnmower I repaired last night that was in the box that has me a little unhappy today ,along with the tools I used of course .

It was this truck minus the cap which was turfed within the first hour of getting it home .

I did find these today. A 1966 Tektronix 453 Oscilloscope. So old that it has a few vacuum tubes in it. It's freaking huge.

And a Sencore TF151 Transistor tester.

I think they work. I plugged both in and powered them up. Lights lit, things happened when I pushed buttons and spun knobs. More importantly, no smoke escaped.
