I know Joe reads this so I'll throw my inquiry out here. I just curious where the RX3 is on it's govt certification process, CARB, EPA, DOT etc.

Those guys from Motorcycle.com usually ride the bikes pretty hard. ![]() Here, in East Idaho, I won't be riding much until April or May. I just read the latest post at the CSC blog. The boys at Motorcycle.com did go for a ride on Thursday.

I have one of the JC Whitney travel trunks as well. I mounted a genuine Givi for Pastor Jim last year, and I didn't see much difference.

I was just reflecting upon all of the great, standard features of the Zongshen RX3.

I forgot to add, the RX3 is available in the fastest, orange color.

I've been thinking about the two rads and two fans. One of the first mods I'd carry out is a bypass toggle, in case the factory temp sensor failed to activate the fans. That would allow you to switch the fans on at will, if you noticed a temp increase.

You're a wise man, Tony.
![]() ![]() ![]() As with you, I am going to add hand guards, heated grips, and a center stand to the bike. After the stock rear tire wears out, I will switch to a 17-inch rear wheel. I don't know if the handlebars are either aluminum, or steel. Perhaps CSCDude will place a magnet on them, and let us know if it sticks. ![]()

![]() ![]() Therefore, I installed a SPAL fan, which is operated by a thermostat switch installed in the radiator. However, the punishment from trail riding kills this switch once every riding season. Therefore, I wired a manual switch in parallel with the thermostat switch. Now, when the thermostat switch dies, I am able to keep climbing the mountain, and I can replace the thermostat switch after I return home. ![]() If one is interested, he can read about my SPAL fan installation at the following link. ![]() http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/103...-installation/ ![]() I do intend to follow your advice, and wire a similar switch for the fans of my Zongshen RX3. ![]()

Incidentally, the orange Rx3 will safely carry twelve people plus a crate of chickens, and still outrace unladen RX3 bikes of different colors.
