no, the stock for a cg250 is a pz30 or vm26 style depending on the bike. The 27 has a smaller venturi and intake. It might work but depending on how well the engine flow you could lose some bottom end due to the larger bore slowing down the charge velocity. Cheap enough you could try it.

Ok thanks Jerry I’ll look for a smaller version of a pumper.

What size is on it now?

My 150cc gy6 in an atv has a PD24J and properly jetted, it's a beast in the power dept. I mean, if you rev it just right, when the clutch engages, it'll pull the front tires up a bit and you have to hold on tight or get thrown off the back. It just rips.

And that's a 24mm! Maybe it'll make more power with a 26 or 27 or whatever the next size up is on that style, but I can't imagine so. Not without a big bore kit and exhaust.

If it's a Chinese copy, it might not actually be 24mm. The number they give is a measurement of the venturi, not the diameter at the butterfly valve. The PZ30 is 26mm IIRC. My Honda 125 is a 24mm that's pretty restricted on the exhaust and exhaust ports, and runs just fine, so a 26 on a 150 with a freer flowing exhaust isn't out of the realm of possibility.

it certainly could work ok... i had good luck with a VM26 on a highly modded pocket bike, it had a race cam, race cdi, good free flowing exhaust, etc...LOL

Throttle housing

Hey guys. Forgive my ignorance but I saw earlier in this thread that you guys were talking about swapping the throttle grip housing For the PZ 30 B swap. I ordered the kit off eBay with the push pull throttle cable. Just wondering if I have to use the new throttle grip or if that’s just an upgrade for better throttle response?

Here is the throttle housing referenced earlier:

And here is the Pz30b that I bought:

Which carb is using a push pull setup? Any of the Chinese clones are a single cable on the slide or split for the slide and accelerator pump. push/pull are only on butterfly carbs like CV's. the quarter turn is optional but nice to have.

Excuse me. I guess I miss spoke by calling it a push pull cable. IT Is the cable pictured in the eBay link that I posted above.

Thanks for clarifying that I don’t have to buy the twist throttle upgrade if I don’t want to.

I spent 30bux and got one of these but I have a question for you that are using these. How did you route the cable? It's allot longer than my stock cable.

I think I've got the cable issue figured out. The cable they included with the carb was nearly 5ft long! I found some on ebay at 36" that I'll give a try.

I have a PZ30b set up on my 2020 Brozz Recon and have the jetting dialed in fairly close with the pumper disconnected. The spray was not right down the middle so I gently pressed the nozzle out, realigned it, and pressed it back in (now further in/taller than what it came by a hair) but the spray seems to be pointed downwards and not straight through the carb. I think this was why I thought the nozzle needed realigned in the first place. Does anybody know if there are replacement nozzles available? I have tried searching the usual places but have found zilch. I have thought about using a micro drill bit but fear I would destroy the nozzle and not have a replacement.

I stripped and cleaned my PZ30B carb this weekend and in doing so I was temporarily distracted by my wife and now I have a spare spring

It looks exactly like the one in the picture. Where does it belong? On the idle jet?

The mixture screw has the only small spring on it.
