Question NCY 0900-1026 Ruckus Oil Cooler

I found an oil cooler online (Amazon) that looks like it would work. It's made for the GY6 engine which I believe have the same oil screen set up an the Hawk engine. Granted it is more expensive ($180.00), but it looks like it replaces the oil screen housing for the take off / return and has an inline filter screen housing that seems to have a check valve in it.
Wouldn't it be better to run ALL the oil straight off the pump thru a cooler rather than SOME of the oil off the top end thru a cooler?

I have that one. Doesn't fit anywhere without modding the fender Ect. Been on my shelf since spring and it is the reason i came up with what i did. Unfortunately what i have is a bit more $$$$. Still working with the manufacturer to get the price and shipping down.....

Thanks mjstef. That's what I love about forums; most of the time someone else is doing it better than me! I'll wait for your magic to happen. I can definitely tell the bike is hotter than I'd like after a road ride in the TN heat.

I was goofing around trying to figure out Taobao and I found this. Looks like a Magician with a oil cooler already fitted. If the Magician uses the same motor as the Hawk, would that work?

We could always mount it somewhere else if it can be used. It looks like it is fed from the right side of the motor with a different case cover, rather than the top end like most other coolers I've seen. Maybe something worth looking into.

I have that cooler and have tried every location i can think of. No good fit anywhere. Needs to be long and narrow. A few have shimmed the fender down. I would have to lower the back of mine over an inch for clearance.....

What was the final decision?

I hate to dig up old posts, but what was the final decision? This is the problem with joining the party late! I live in Florida and the summers can be hot! I have a 1999 Buell X-1 that has a cooling fan. It was offered though Harley Davidson as an add-on part, but it seems to help.

someone has the link to the oil cooler and valve cover. i got one and i think i have found a place for it. in between the tank fin and tank using the fin mount as a mounting point. when i get to doing it i take pics. im using 2 metal "t" bracket from wally world as mounts plus some bending. still in my head but i think it can work and its up and out of the way and out of sight with good airflow. as far as which way to plumb it im going to let the engine pump it in the top and out the bottom of the cooler then to the spay side of the valve cover then it will drain back to the engine sump. i thinnk!!! cooler and cover wasnt much 30-40 dollars
