I think if you want a good comparison; would you jump a Suzuki DR200 or the Yamaha TW200? Maybe on occasion, but those are not made for jumping, and they cost $3-4K.

If you broke the seat upon landing, does that mean you stayed sitting on the seat?

S_FLeX I got to ask "have you checked your engine mounting bolts"
If the chain is coming off after a jump you may have sheared an engine mounting bolt or two/three.

I can say that after I rebolted ours that they can withstand a lot more abuse than they ever could with the stock engine mounting bolts.

I just got back home from another brutal ride on mine and will have to give it a bath and a good once over but I feel confident that all will be good.
With some prep these things are fairly durable

I would love to have a get together ride weekend here in michigan as there are really some decent trails up north here.

You dont have to beat on your bikes here but sometimes I just have to leave the wife behind in the whooped out sections.
My favorite trails are the ATV width(50" or less) tree lined, tight, winding, hard packed dirt trails under a canopy of various types of tree's with lots of obstacles thrown in like stumps, rocks, roots, mud puddles, logs, branches and fleeing wild life.
We see deer, birds, squirrels, wild turkeys, frogs and some porcupines and bunnies, never chase them but always fun to see them.

Never thought to look at the Engine mounts, explains it though. I'll look at it this week. When I jumped I was standing up but it has those tiny little footpegs and I usually slipped off and ended up on the seat.

I know first hand from my wifes bike which had a very loose chain and when we got down there to adjust it we seen the lower rear bolt that had broken which allowed a lot of slop in the chain.

I hate those tiny footpegs and have been meaning to add a little bit to them.
