Back to work tomorrow. Have my priorities already loaded.

Did around a hundred miles today. Put the side car windshield back on yesterday. That costs about 3 mpg. Still nicer to gas up at 125 miles and take on less fuel than the first run at 80 miles. Mrs. C may be done riding for the season so I'll yank the windshield for the winter.

When you engage two wheel drive does it lock the wheels together or does it still have a differential?

They're locked together. Steering is wishful thinking.

I had my rig out Saturday. went about 100 miles too, to see my grandson's championship football game for the fall season. did some interstate at 70 and some back country roads through south carolina. I'm realizing how much impact the screen on the sidecar has when crusing on the highway.

Looking for some suggestions.

I rode the Ural to O'hare on Wednesday and ended up turning on the heated grips about halfway there. I only used the 'LOW' setting(35%). Kinda like that first experience with a heated seat, it was that nice.

Last night, riding back from O'hare, 35F, snow and 45mph headwinds. It was effing cold. Switched on the grips before I left the parking lot. Bumped them up to 'MED' setting (70%). Palms warm as toast, digits like ice. Wearing my Aussie winter gloves(a misnomer, I know) that I wear on the CX and my hands have never felt that cold.

Biggest difference between the two bikes is the windshields(You know what I mean). Large windshield on the CX that extends to the grips. Smaller windshield on the Ural does not extend to the grips. The obvious answer is I need to block the wind from my hands. So, brush guards, the same windshield as on the CX, or something else?

brush guards would be cheaper, but I'd vote for the wider shield. it would be a better overall look. either way though, it'll sure help.

My 2015 Ural cT on one of my last trips to Deal's Gap AKA the Dragon. Santa Claus was there so I figured it was about time to migrate to SW Florida for the winter.

Barnone-Great pics. Tell me about that bike rack set up. That's just what I am looking for. I just got back from working in Ft. Lauderdale on Friday and now looking out at Penobscot Bay in Maine. I'm cheeseheadmike at advrider and soviet steeds.

looks to be a standard bike carrier setup which inserts into the hitch receiver.

I had a couple of good laughs over that post.

I have a cheap set of "Acerbis" bark busters that I bought on Taobao, and I also bought the add-on spoilers. I haven't added the spoilers yet, but they'll certainly help keep the wind off in colder weather. The good news is that the bark busters are very well made and cheap.

If I was interested in riding in actual snow on a hack, I'd search for a set of Hippo Hands. Hippo Hands combined with grip heaters would be awesome.

Kinda what I thought. I have the rack, wondering where and how to mount the receiver.
