I got my spare motor in-hopefully I hear back from Joe Henner soon.
If not, there’s a dealer in OKC for trailmaster and they have a TM36-300 (279cc) for around $3k. May just see if they can get a 38 and make it street legal lol.

Appreciate it. The idea is to replace the VERY old XL175 that has been my trail bike for a few years. It's getting old and cranky these days and my kicking leg isn't what it used to be. It was about 14 hp at best when new, I'm good with modest power. Big bonus for me is the old Honda was never street legal (for me). Plan is if/when the Templar proves a good replacement to get the old XL running well one last time and let someone else have it. I've got too many other old and cranky vehicles, my rule is I can't buy one unless I let one go.

If you order one and it comes by R&L Carriers the seller should give you a tracking number at some point. If you go to R&L's site it looks like you have to sign up with them to track it. Not so, go to this page and simply enter your tracking number. Posting this because it is not at all obvious that you can do this.

Can anyone tell me why cars in the opposite-on-coming lanes flash their headlights at me during the day? Is this just them acknowledging that they see me? Are these other motorcyclists saying high from their cars? I haven’t ridden a bike daily for almost 15 years, and this wasn’t a thing when I used to ride.

Sometimes they are signaling other motorists that there is a traffic cop hiding up ahead.

I thought too, but multiple times it’s been from cars just entering the roadway from another road. It’s happened enough time in various situations that it’s making me paranoid lol

Are you driving with the headlights off? Might be signaling to turn your headlights on. Or You have you bright lights on and they are flashing you because it's blinding them. I never had anyone flash there lights at me.

Diving with headlights on, and high beams on during the day. Not driving at night because I don’t have my license yet—just permit. But I’ve stood in front of the Templar and the bright beams aren’t that bad. I’m probably just being paranoid.

The Templar X headlight, especially when in hi-beam mode is pointing ridiculously high, verified last time i rode when pointed at my garage door. I have been riding with hi-beams during the day for several years now for visibility and if others flash at you during the day, screw them, safety first, and you WANT that car waiting to turn left across your lane as your approach to see you and think twice

Can confirm, they only assembled the headlight on mine making sure the various screws were screwed in, but it had not been adjusted at all. I spent one night when I first go the bike and took it to my neighborhood street on one end, pointed the bike down the street towards the opposite end and used the adjustment screw to adjust the high beam against the reflective stop sign and houses at the other end of the street. I don't ride at night but its a simple enough job to adjust the headlight so its not shooting down UFOs in the sky. If I rode it at night I would definitely change out the LED bulb with something brighter.

Got mine today!
Delivery driver was super cool. He unloaded it and rolled the pallet into my garage, then helped me unbox it to check for damage. Happy to report thus far the only noticeable thing is a small mark on the bottom left fork by where the axle is. The M.C.O. arrived in the mail on Tuesday. Was bummed to see "Off Road Motorcycle" under body type. May stop by my local dmv first and see what they say about getting it plated before I email XPro about a new certificate.

Lucky dog!
Starting to wonder where my paperwork is, the bike arrived two days ago.

Send an email to PSM immediately and ask them to send you a corrected MCO. They will. Or at least, they have for everyone I have heard of here. It might be the difference between getting insurance, plates and registering for road use or not!
