I can see some residue around the fork cap, on the upper triple clamp. As Spud says, try tightening the cap a little.

I forgot to mention, loosen both bolts in the top part of the triple tree clamp before you attempt to tighten the fork cap. The top bolts compress the fork tube around the fork cap, so you must loosen them before you can tighten the fork cap. If you loosen only the top bolts, the fork will still remain secure in the triple tree. After you tighten the fork cap, tighten the top bolts in the triple tree with a torque of 15 foot-pounds.

You guys know what kind of fork seal I need for the Vento? I did not take the pic but the left side has a little oil coming from the fork seal. I always clean the residue after ridding the Vento but I think is time to replace fork seals and change fork oil but not sure if I will do it by my self or stop by the shop. The oil costs about $10 and the mechanic charges about $80.

Other than paint color and graphics, you Mountrack Vento is identical to my Zongshen 200GY-2. Therefore, all the information I posted in the 'Zong Sticky' will apply to your motorcycle.

You can order Zongshen, fork oil seals from Taobao.com, or you can order a Honda, fork seal set, part #51490-GBF-J21, for the '09 Honda CRF150R.

First check if the fork cap is not loose as suggested by Spud and Weld. If not, you might need to replace o-ring. You can check my thread.

I will buy the oil seals at Honda (although it takes about 2 months to get them) meanwhile will read your threads before hands on. Thanks to everybody for the feedback.

Spud, is there any thread about the electric starter motor? I am servicing mine because was failing (it makes squeaky noises). I cleaned it up already but I noticed two vertical marks on the body of the motor and want to check the thread to make sure I am doing the correct way. Also, is there a thread about servicing the disc brake? The Vento is making a grinding sound when braking. I have the GY service manual already but the threads on this forum are more clear and helpful than the manual .

My Zong's starter motor failed at about 10,000 miles, and I replaced it with a new one. I don't understand what is wrong with your starter motor. Please start a new thread on this topic, and post photographs of the problem.

Your brake pads are squeaking because they are wearing unevenly. You need to remove both brake pads, and either grind, or cut away the higher surface at the rear of the brake pads. I suggest you read the following thread on this topic.

Hect75, if you choose to grind your pads, be sure to wear a dust mask or respirator.
