Just rode to the dmv and back, got the bike up to 50... Gonna order the new carb and jets.. Do i need the rubber flange, or will it just bolt on to my existing spot?

I'd need to see a pic of your existing setup first.
Jetting will depend on the type of carb you select.

So i emailed killermotorsports.com about the hawk. I had a few questions about it and whether they had it in stock. So i decided to order one, but when i went to order their price went from the $1338 to $1930. I have to say im not happy. How in the world can it go from 13 to 19 in less than 24 hrs of my emailing them when its been the same price for months. Feel like i got screwed. But i see that motobuys has the same bike for around the $1300 mark. Any of you guys have any experience with them?

The Mikuni will definitely fit where the existing Keihin is. I've installed several of those Mikunis in the past, and they've always been good carbs for me.
Don't expect it to work out of the box, because the jetting will not be correct.

I bought mine from them, they lied to me when i asked them to price match kms. They said it was a different bike. They are all from rps. But Sam is half way decent to deal with. Both companys never touch the bikes. They drop ship from ricky power sports. I would gr s b one before they raise the price.

Txpowersports had the Hawks last week, ordered one 10 days ago and recieved it in a week or so....I'm partially assembled, fired it up last night and ran good....
https://www.txpowersports.com/category_s/283.htm $1399 with $50 off with coupon code MUD 2 Not the best price but they had them in stock. I'm unfamiliar with the choke lever on the carb, is up or down choke? I feel your pain, but welcome to the world of chinabikes. Internet pricing means nothing really, very often they may not even have the bike, or the bike may also be misrepresented. Bike in hand is the only real data point. These bikes can sell low or high depending on many factors....good luck in your search, something will come along. Sad but true, chinabikes are for the thick skinned. The new Zong RX3, the SSR 200 /250, and the Qlink are the only chinabikes I am aware of with a "real" sales operation and somewhat stable pricing, but you will pay dearly for these better bikes and professional sales staff. The internet bikes are typically about $500 = $800 more at brick and mortar retailers. Last edited by wilserchinarider; 06-21-2015 at 10:31 AM. |

Agreed. Down is off, or open.
