Maybe it's not toooo bad. It is a small piece of plastic....but the shipping. Wowe...
I ceertainly like the rubber plug idea! How incredibly "China Biker" of you!

....and Doc....You're right. I shouldn't complain. Q parts are readily available. .....at least for now on these bikes. I hope when they make the change to the 250, we still have this option.

Andrew....it's this one.

Personally, I like filling holes like that with stainless fasteners. I get creative about it, perhaps with socket head cap screws, pan head bolts or carriage bolts. You'll like fill the holes for less than the cost of a fender, and they'll look like they're doing something.

UNEXPECTED BONUS! (I love those!)

I got home last night after work and before it started to sprinkle, I took the Q around the block a few times to get the feel of the new risers. THEY ROCK! Got them up to a very comfotable level....and as mentioned, an unexpected bonus!
THE OVERLY-ASIAN "VOLTRON CARTOON" STYLE MIRRORS BECAME TOTALLY FUNCTIONAL!
They got lifted past my elbows and I can see behind me now!
