I order new 500w crossovers, 300w tweeters and 200w midrange speakers. My DJ speakers took a beating after 3 Mardi Gras parades, I blew 2 tweeters , one midrange and one of the crossovers fried. This was on my 30+ year old Custom built speakers. 15" are still kicking. First time I had to replace speakers. My newer Dual 15's had no problems. What I get I kick out of is some of these DJ's had 6-10 speakers on some of these floats and sounded like total crap. I got a few looks with only 4 speakers setup and sounded better than there system with only 4 speakers. lol One guy wanted to know were I got the speakers from. When I told him I made them he wanted to know how much I charge to build him some. I hope the new tweeters and mids hold up a good as the old ones did. Weekend project.

A new starter for a twenty year old Cat 3116 engine. I was able to do in two hours what the customers' bureaucratic purchasing department hasn't been able to do in a month.

I bought a 4'x6' American flag. My old 3x5 was faded and has started to tear. Also bought a spool hub adapter for my little Miller mig welder. I bought the welder 2nd hand a couple years ago and it had an 8" spool that had been dropped and wobbled. It welds great as long as you feed a couple of feet off of the spool. I always thought it was the broken spool of wire until I switched to a 4" spool and found the nubs were broken off the back of the spool hub. I'm pretty sure that even with the new part, I will still spend more time grinding than welding though.

2 Datsun 521 Pickups and 2 Datsun 510 wagons for $600 for all 4. The Wagons are drivetrain donors for the trucks as their bodies are shot.

Today I needed to repair my stove. The SO overfills pots and then allows them to boil over and foul up the burner contacts.
About once a year they need to be cleaned really well. So I bought these from HF.

Not too concerned one way or the other. If they work, great. If they don’t, lesson learned.

I bought a mesh jacket and the shoulder and elbow pad upgrades from Revzilla.
This one: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/fly-flux-air-jacket

It fits good and doesn't look bad. Hoping to have more protection than a T-shirt gives, now that we're already in summer here in FL.

It showed up today with 3 out of the 6 snaps on the elbows broken and missing. Now we're gonna see if Revzilla's customer service is as good as they claim to be.
