Another funny, terse, and honest CL ad:
CR250. http://kpr.craigslist.org/mcy/2987071151.html This bike is very fast and would probably send a beginning rider to the ER.

Beginner riders should really start with smaller motorcycles, whether riding off road, or on pavement. I'm glad some sellers are reluctant to sell powerful bikes to novices. Spud

It looks like the classic XR200 layout, so I think a China motor would fit. Go get it.

A little research indicates that the front disc brake is relatively rare. It needs a 230 pushrod motor.

Too flippin cute. Linda could ride that and I'd be on Little Sweetie.
Just for around town speeds but a heck of a lot more interesting than a scooter. Also I bet it would run with a carb cleaning and an oil and airfilter change and a new battery too.

Probably. It is an old Honda, after all.
It also has the relatively rare tach.

Doc if you get it I'd try to get it going, my honda didn't take much (minus me tracking down the minor electrical issues). Looks good. Bet you could talk them down a bit since it needs a good cleaning and isn't running.

I have the same space/time/money issues but this bike would need little of those entities.
The problem is Walla Walla where the bike is located is 1 1/5 hours from my house. If it was local I may have had it on my trailer by now.

Sounds like a Roger and FastDoc road trip.
