The Transport Canada process is a big deal, so it'll be quite an achievement for Zongshen. It makes perfect sense that their products should be sold in Canada, since they're located in Vancouver.
That's why I said it was a rumor. I don't know if the rumor is true, or any of the other details regarding the rumor. Of course, one could call Zongshen PEM in Vancouver, or CSC Motorcycles in Azusa for more details.

Indeed, the lack of a dealer network presents a challenge for the owner of any Chinese motorcycle. However, CSC has addressed these issues better than most importers of Chinese bikes. Search the CSC Blog, or this thread, for the specifics regarding the 2-year warranty provided by CSC. CSCDude might also reply to your concerns.

It is interesting to note that Zongshen Mexico seems to have disappeared in the same manner as Zongshen America. Therefore, the door is open for someone to distribute the Zongshen bikes in Mexico as well.

I'm sure I am much older than you, so I am frightened to ask what age you consider 'officially over the hill.'

Hi guys. Joe from CSC here.

Thanks for your continuing interest in us.

Here are two or three inputs:

We are not rebadging the bike. We are proud of the fact that it is a Zongshen. It's a first-class motorcycle from a first-class company, and we wouldn't present it as anything other than what it is.

We are indeed the company that will be bringing the RX-3 to Canada. The process is well underway and we expect to be selling in Canada within the next couple of months.

I put a few miles on the RX-3 today on the freeway, and then on a pretty gnarly local goat trail. You folks on Chinariders.net are seeing these videos first....

Thanks for checking in, and giving us the accurate information, Joe.

P.S. The first video is not available for us to view. When I attempt to watch the video, I get the message "this video is private."

Joe,

Do you own a GPS unit which displays speed? If so, I would like to know the accuracy of the RX3 speedometer. Most motorcycle speedometers are ten percent 'optimistic.' In other words, the speedometer displays a speed which is ten percent higher than the actual speed.
