Nice choice Darkrider!
We bought two new Patriot 4X4's back in 2015 (leftover 14's) One for us, one for my carpool partner. We have beat the living snot out of them. Got 100k on both already and all is good. Solidly built, roomy inside, will haul a ton of crap and it's the best "stock" snow vehicle I've ever owned.
Lexus luxurious? Nope. Worth every penny? Absolutely.

Def enjoying the hell out of mine. We picked it up today after it went through provincial inspection. It did end up loosing the tint on the front doors like i expected. So i will need to book it in to get lighter OE level tint on the fronts and redo one of the rears since they accidentally started to remove tint from the right rear door.

Have these plans in place for it so far:

FDII skid plates (These came on the models with Freedom drive II thus FDII)
FDII alternator (higher output)
FDII tow hooks which will most likely get powdercoated Red like a Trailhawk
Matte black vinyl on the hood like the Trailhawk models.
and OE accessory Driving lights on the bumper along with retrofitting stock OE Fogs in the bumper.

Basically doing a sort of "What If" by applying some of the TrailHawk touches to it.

Did a prowl at Half Price Books yesterday and came home with a new reissue of Cusslers' Sahara, The Roswell Incident, and something called Automotive Essentials from 1958. I've read the cover off of my original copy of Sahara, so it was time for a new one.

Gloss black.
Was surprised that I bought a large but the Cyclegear guy told me that the Sedici helmets run a tad small. Guy said I could remove sections of padding in the medium for a better fit but the large felt perfect.

A bed 3 windows and 3 doors new vinyl floor. my vstrom fits but have to remove 4 screw wind screen, no big deal. Will be transporting and camping out of it. Nice little camper there BB. My wife and I are seriously thinking about selling the huge 33' camper and buying a 8.5'x24' cargo trailer and converting it into a toy hauler. I was a carpenter for over 40+ years so fixing up the interior real nice won't be a problem. With the Hawk UTV and 4 wheeler we always have to take two vehicles to bring them all with us when we go camping. I can get a new trailer for under $5000 and could probably do all the interior work, plumbing and electrical for under another $5000. It would still be less that half the price of a small toy hauler. We are looking at one like this which is $3950. https://houma.craigslist.org/trb/d/8...472631660.html

It seems we think a like. I've been eyeing a 6x10 or 6x12 single axle cargo trailer to camp and ride out of.

Pulled a 16 footer around for many years mowing and I sure didn't want a big hauler again.

Jerry, that sounds fun. Use light weight backing plywood etc to a ways keep an eye on weight, etc for cabinets and room/bathroom dividers why not. Just Google Rv windows and you will find tinted oval styles etc just like the ones on the production models for sale to diy. It will look good like you say for half cost. Just keep eye on the $, you know how costs can get out of hand.

That sounds like a fun project. My last turbo project was a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 with a 6.0L and a Garrett GT76 turbo. 6300# truck running 13.90's. @7lbs of boost. The truck completely stock could barely run high 17's. lol Talk about a sleeper at the track. I had to leave my 5th wheel hitch in the back to get traction.
